Mode Mueseum Part 1

Schloss Meyenburg gives Berliners a chance to experience some real fashion history. The amazing collection of women's garments date from 1900 up to 1970. My personal favourites are the pieces from the early period, 1900-circa 1930. They are so different from our way of dressing today but you can see how the past continues to shape our pop culture. The feathered cape, for example, would not look out of place in Blair Waldorf's wardrobe.

Unfortunately Schloss Meyenburg is not exactly located in the centre of Berlin, infact it is about 1.5 Hours drive from the city. Still, it is closer than Paris and definitely worth the trip. Just thought I'd give you some advanced warning should you be looking for something to do at the weekend. For details check out http://www.modemuseum-schloss-meyenburg.de/
