oh boy it has been a hell of a month! As you might have been able to detect by the complete lack of action here on the blog. It was time to re-evaluate a few things, figure out what is truely important to me and then try to realise those ideas and thoughts. I am still in the realisation phase but at least I am moving forward.
I was very excited to bring you all some pictures of Glasgow style, I was there last week. But as it turns out that although during term time there is much going on style wise in Glasgow but when I went the holidays had already started and as the students clear out so does the style. So you and I will have to make do with some good old fashioned Berlin Street Style. This will hopefully be spiced up by the fashion set who are set to arrive in this occasionally fair city on the 17th for Berlin Fashion Week!
I am hoping to implement a few changes over the coming weeks so bear with me.

Schloss Meyenburg gives Berliners a chance to experience some real fashion history. The amazing collection of women's garments date from 1900 up to 1970. My personal favourites are the pieces from the early period, 1900-circa 1930. They are so different from our way of dressing today but you can see how the past continues to shape our pop culture. The feathered cape, for example, would not look out of place in Blair Waldorf's wardrobe.

Unfortunately Schloss Meyenburg is not exactly located in the centre of Berlin, infact it is about 1.5 Hours drive from the city. Still, it is closer than Paris and definitely worth the trip. Although the high-street giants clearly have their upsides, I have found that the pieces you truly learn to cherish are not the ones thousands of others may be wearing as well. How much do I admire this fashion choice? Very much indeed! As Cher (the only Cher I have ever valued) once said:
"I must give her snaps for her courageous fashion efforts!"
Those socks are all kinds of cool. I don't have the legs to pull that look off with flats. Let's be honest, how many women really do? Even Carrie wears hers with heels. If in doubt, wear yours with heels and lots of confidence. That's the best accessory you could ever choose!

As a group these girls look really great and when examined more closely each one has her own variation on the overall style. I admire that. Nadja and I are sorry to announce a small interruption to our "Special Feature" Week.
We had the opportunity to attend the European premiere for Christina Ricci's new movie and just had to share the photos with you. Both of us adore Christina Ricci and her always slightly kooky style choices. But possibly even more interesting: the way everyone else dressed to attend the event. Most of the people we snapped are not remotely famous but their style really made them stand out.

This is a combination I feel is particularly well done. What I like is that the jacket and bag are some what mis-matched and yet it works. The other thing I adore about this look is the pattern on the jacket paired with a plain leather bag.

Our First "Special Feature" Week

Here at LNstyling we are so happy with the progress of our style blog. You might look at the slightly older pictures (from the end of March/beginning of April) and think we were drunk while taking them. Well we weren't, it just took some time to get used to that tricky little device called a camera.

So while we are both very pleased with how things are developing, we are always looking for ways to take things to the next level. A kind of magazine-style feature of cute bag and jacket combos was what came to mind.

This is very much an experiment so let us know what you think.
